- Content you post: course submissions, forum posts, comments, group activity, and messages.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information, collected automatically for security and analytics.
- Cookies: small files used to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and measure site usage (see Section 4).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to operate your account, display your profile and content to other members, moderate the community, improve the platform, and communicate with you about your account or activity. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Data Retention & Your Rights
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us (Section 7). Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable law, including:
- EU/UK users (GDPR): right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and data portability.
- California users (CCPA/CPRA): right to know what data is collected, right to deletion, and right to opt out of sale/sharing of personal information (LearnHive does not sell personal data).
4. Cookies
LearnHive uses cookies necessary for login sessions and site functionality, as well as analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may limit some site features (such as staying logged in).
5. Children’s Privacy
LearnHive is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it. Users aged 13–17 should have parental or guardian awareness of their participation.
6. Copyright & DMCA
If you believe content on LearnHive infringes your copyright, please send a notice to our designated contact (Section 7) including a description of the copyrighted work, the location of the allegedly infringing material, and your contact information. We will review and respond to valid takedown requests.
7. Third-Party Links
LearnHive may link to third-party sites (including learnhive.shop and instructor-provided resources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external sites; please review their policies separately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of LearnHive after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
